IT'S HERE! YA Scavenger Hunt!!!

Welcome to YA Scavenger Hunt! WOOT WOOT! This bi-annual event was first organized by author Colleen Houck as a way to give readers a chance to gain access to exclusive bonus material from their favorite authors . . . and a chance to win some awesome prizes! On this hunt, you not only get access to exclusive content from each author, you also get a clue for the hunt. Add up the clues, and you can enter for our prize--one lucky winner will receive one (1) book from each author on the hunt in my team! But play fast: this contest (and all the exclusive bonus material) will only be online for 120 hours!

Y'all go easy on me, this is my first HUNT! But I think I'm up for the challenge (I've seen enough episodes of Supernatural to know how this goes ... quick, grab the salt and the ... oh crap, wrong hunt, uh, never mind).

SCAVENGER HUNT POST

Today, I get to host the most fabulous Lee Ann Ward on my website for the YA Scavenger Hunt! And WOW, folks, she is such an inspiration. I am truly honored to be hosting her for this amazing hunt.

Lee Ann Ward is an international bestselling author of gritty YA fiction. She is a former Senior Editor of a digital romance publisher and has taught storyboarding courses across the country. She is from Bayou La Batre, Alabama and is a wife and mother. GLIMPSES OF WILDERNESS is her international bestselling YA romance and is slated as a series. Her 11th novel releases in February 2021 and is a fairytale re-telling of THE LITTLE MATCH GIRL.

Find out more information by checking out the author website or find more about the author's book here! click here for Lee Ann Ward's website and click GLIMPSES OF WILDERNESS to get her book RIGHT NOW.

Anna experiences vivid dreams from a past-life she lived in the 1800s with her husband Robert and their children in the wilderness of the Michigan Territory. Much like her own mother grieving the man and child she lost, Anna can’t simply let go of the memories that haunt her.

But when she runs into Robert in this lifetime, a whirlwind of their past lives—and deaths—rocks her modern world to the core. What will she be willing to risk to spend every lifetime with Robert?

In the twists and turns of “repeating” their lives over and over through time, Anna must sacrifice everything for a glimpse of immortal love.

FAN CASTING FUN!

Readers always ask me about my writing process. A question I often get is if I choose the physical appearance of real people I know, or have seen, when I imagine my characters. Many writers practice this technique as part of their characterization process. I personally do not. My characters come to me as their own unique, individual, beautiful selves. I see them in my mind’s eye only. But, along the way, I have received pictures from fans showing me folks who look like my characters. So, I thought it would be fun to share some fan-casting recommendations I’ve gotten from my readers since the release of GLIMPSES. These are my favorites!

Anna Berkeley

Oh, our beloved Anna! This is an image sent to me from a fan who said, “I’d just finished GLIMPSES OF WILDERNESS and I was searching hairstyles online. I saw this model and thought, ‘OMG! She looks just like ‘wilderness’ Anna!’” I totally agree, Michelle. Totally.

Robert Grafton

I actually had two fans during a blog takeover say that Robert—our devoted, swoon-worthy leading man—reminded them of Ryan Philippe. I personally picture Robert’s hair being lighter and his eyes a richer brown, but I’m not hating the Ryan reference AT ALL!

William Hull

Oh, that William, our forever third wheel. It’s funny that I had so many images sent my way regarding William, but I agreed with this one more than the others. I had a reader send me this message: “I know I should picture Ansel Elgort as Augustus Waters (The Fault in Our Stars), but all I see when I look at him is William.” Wow, thanks Laurie! I agree 😊

Rose Behr

I saved my funny story for last. All the readers love Rose, our 88-year-old nursing home resident that Anna holds so dear. Tons of fans have said that every time they picture Rose, they picture the elderly Rose from Titanic. This is quite comical to me, but I love the comparison so much. So, it would be very wrong for me not to include this photo, although I don’t picture my Rose like Titanic’s Rose at all!

I hope you enjoyed this! And, if you’d like to read GLIMPSES OF WILDERNESS, it will be .99 cents on Amazon, Nook, Kobo, Google Play, and Apple iBooks on April 12th!

And don't forget to enter the contest for a chance to win a ton of books by me, Lee Ann Ward and more! To enter, you need to know that my favorite number is 7. Add up all the favorite numbers of the authors on the gold team and you'll have all the secret code to enter for the grand prize! CONTINUE THE HUNT... To keep going on your quest for the hunt, you need to check out the next phenomenal author: Livia Blackburne!

THANKS FOR PLAYING!
