Audiobooks bring another layer to the reading, or should I say, listening, experience. Being read to goes back to the days of parents comforting their children before bedtime. Who doesn't like to be read to? It's calming and lets us drift off while we imagine the fantasy. And when you get that expert narrator reading the story to you, that layer keeps getting better and better.
The narrators for Shield & Shade really brought their A-Game.
I want to take a moment to spotlight Meg Price and Cliff Miller. They are two of the most phenomenal voice narrators out there, in my opinion.

Meg has been in a recording booth since she was in the womb. No Joke! Which lead to falling asleep in there listening to her parents say, “Please Press 1 for…” over and over. Meg then pursued acting all through a specialized high school and two years of a BA degree. Meg got a little lost, but then again who doesn’t in their early twenties? But finally found her way back home to books and audiobooks. Combining her love for storytelling, acting, and a lifetime surrounded by audio work.

For Cliff, storytelling started at the age of four when he would entertain his family by sharing adventures with Bubba and Sizza, a pair of rambunctious imaginary friends. Finding the thrill of performing text, Cliff pursued a career in acting and has had a series of extraordinary roles in regional and NYC theaters, independent films, and voiceover. He received his MFA from the Meadows School at Southern Methodist University and is based in Austin. Detailed script analysis, deep use of imagination, and the willingness to try anything are primary to his approach to acting.
