Love is in the air…try not to breathe.

If you're anything like me, you try as hard as you can NOT to celebrate Valentine's Day. Let's normalize Palentine's Day instead. Inclusivity is the name of the game these days. So, this February 14, grab yourself a window seat in a library, bookstore, or --preferably- a beach and treat yourself . . . well, to a date.

First and foremost, I mean, I have to recommend Parks and Rec. "Hoes before bros. Uteruses before duderuses. Ovaries before brovaries."

Join Leslie Knope, America's most upbeat public servant, in celebrating the best tradition of the year - ladies celebrating ladies! Or, hear me out, pals celebrating pals. This special day, made popular by Parks and Recreation, has become an international phenomenon and is the perfect excuse to pull out all the stops, just like Leslie would. The official guide includes food and drink recipes, DIY decorations, ideas for party activities, and more to help you throw an inspired Galentine's Day party for the amazing women in your life. This fun and comprehensive event-planning guide is a must-have for every Parks and Recreation fan.

How about a Customized Book of Us: Best Friends?

A story starring you and your bestie that’s radiating main character energy!

“We need to remember what’s important in life: friends, waffles, work. Or waffles, friends, work. Doesn’t matter, but work is third.”

This is a charming book that celebrates the bond of friendship and love. You can personalize it from cover to cover, as much or as little as you want. The end product is a one-of-a-kind memento for your incredible best friend, which will bring you even closer together!

Next on the list, we have a little self care love. "I am a Goddess, a glorious female warrior."

Guys, you are glorious warriors too.

Atomic Habits: An Easy & Proven Way to Build Good Habits & Break Bad Ones

Tiny Changes, Remarkable Results.

No matter your goals, Atomic Habits offers a proven framework for improving - every day. James Clear, one of the world's leading experts on habit formation, reveals practical strategies that will teach you exactly how to form good habits, break bad ones, and master the tiny behaviors that lead to remarkable results.

Last but never least, a self-love-treating-yourself therapy book.

"You are more fabulous than Condoleezza Rice, Hillary Clinton, Susan B. Anthony, Eleanor Roosevelt, and Madeline Albright rolled together."

It's important to love yourself as much as you love others. Why is this such a hard lesson to learn? Being busy every minute of the day is not healthy. Sit with yourself for a while. Let those thoughts sink in. Build a life you don't need to escape from.

“Love yourself first, and everything else falls in line. You really have to love yourself to get anything done in this world.” – Lucille Ball

You don't need a lot of words to describe what Palentine's Day means.
